Oak Firewood; Gamble and Live Oak

Price:  $385 per cord split $200 per half cord.

This a very dense hard wood good for coals, cooking, and smoking.  This wood burns longer and gives off more BTUs than other woods.  Some oak is harvested from Arizona while other oaks are trucked in from Texas. 

BTU per cord is approximate 28-34 million BTUS.

Pecan Firewood

Price:  $400 per cord; $200 per half cord

This is a dense hard wood.  This wood is ideal for smoking or grilling meats.  This wood comes from Texas.

BTU per cord is approximately 26 million BTUS.

Cottonwood Firewood

Price: $120 per cord split; $70 per half cord

This is a fast growing tree that grows locally in the area.

BTU per cord is approximate 16.8 million BTUS


Pine Firewood

Price:  $160 per cord split; $85 per half cord

This is a fast growing soft wood tree that is harvested in the Manzano Mountains.

BTU per cord is approximate 21.7 million BTUS


Elm Firewood

Price:  $170 per cord split; $90 per half cord

This is a fast growing hardswood that is harvested in the local area.

BUT per cord is approximate 21.6 million BTUS


Cedar (Juniper) Savina

Price:  $220 per cord split; $125 per half cord

This is a soft wood that burns really hot and clean.  This wood crackles a lot when burned  This wood is harvested in Cluanch and Magdalena areas. 

BTU per cord is approximate 22.6 million BTUS


Pinon

Price:  $230 per cord split; $130 per half cord

This is the hardest of the soft woods it is very aromatic and burns well.  This smoke is a natural mosquito repellent making it ideal for chimineas and other outdoor fires.  This wood is harvested from the Magdalena and Manzano Mountain areas. 

BTU per cord is approximate 27 million BTUS


Alligator (Juniper)

Price:  $230 per cord split; $130 per half cord

This is another dense soft wood.  This wood burns clean and crackles a lot.  This wood is harvested from the Manzano Mountains.
